15 Years Together
My wife and I have been together for 15 years this month, and for slightly more than half that time, happily married. Thank you Isa.
Today, eight years ago, we got married at the Club Campestre Cuscatlan, in San Salvador, El Salvador. Two days later at the San Benito Church in San Benito, San Salvador. A civil ceremony at a country club. and a religious ceremony in a Catholic Church.
The night of the 11th we were surrounded by friends and family. The lawyer that married us, a life-long friend of my wife and the husband of one of my wife’s best friends. It made for a more intimate ceremony, despite the number of people attending. The picture to the left is of Isa and I shortly after exchanging our vows. Her best friends are in the background.
To the right, a wonderful picture of best-of-friends and family celebrating with newly wed Isa and me on the night. My brother-law towering over me with his wife by his side, and one of Isa’s best friends from college flanking. I have wonderful memories of that night.
Two days later we got married at a beautiful church in San Benito, San Salvador, and held a wonderful lunch at my in-law’s with close friends and family. It happens to be the church-of-choice for most events for my Salvadoran family. El Salvador has some beautiful, unique churches, and San Benito is one of them.
Family and Friends made it a wonderful two events with life-long memories that I am more than happy to celebrate with my wife every year.
However, I should be thanking her for putting up with me for the past 15 years. Hopefully she can put up with me for an additional 15 years.
