Sihuehuet

I got a surfski and took her out on the lake today. She is wonderfully tipsy and with each stroke I had to work hard at not falling into the water. A great way to strengthen your core.

I have yet to name the boat, but I’m partial to Sihuehuet: a Nahuatl word, of Central American folklore, meaning beautiful woman. A little more strength and stability training and I will take her out on the larger inland seas and then off to El Salvador in a shipping container.

I am eager to paddle the Salvadoran coast. Keeping the coast on my port-side, I hope to paddle from one friend’s beach house to the next.
